Height -
8 Inches tall (At shoulder)

Weight -

Tattoo-

Items/Accessories-

Eyes -
The tom has sharp, bright green eyes that glisten like leaves in the sunlight. His irises are lined with a slight darker green, like the shadowed side of those leaves. His eyes give off the impression of status, his gaze always far off, and in thought. His gaze is hard, always seeming to look deep within you, but it is never icy.

Build -
The tom’s build isn't anything close to bulky. He is very bony, a cat is able to run their tail across him and feel his bones clearly. However, these bones aren’t very prominently seen except in his face and legs. He also is a bit small for a cat his age. He usually only gets up to shoulder-level of a larger cat. Needless, he isn’t fully scrawny, he is able to pull his own weight. Despite that, he isn’t the best cat to do all your heavy-lifting, you might need an extra paw or two’s worth of help.

Pelt -
The tom is no-doubt a grey cat. His fur has a base of gray, with a darker gray-black underbelly/paws/muzzle. His uniqueness doesn’t come from this, however. He is dotted with tons of white spots on his cheeks, elbows, knees, back, and the base of his tail. Though it  seems as plain-as-day to any cat who sees him in camp, it helps him blend in with the light spots that shine through the trees in the forest. Though it seems a bit different, he likes it, he thinks it gives a bit of character to his otherwise dull, short (and slightly “spiky”) gray fur.

~Said that he loved, each of my two million freckles~

Skills: Secondary (Joining at Level 4)

Skill 1 -
Cognition: You know the exact time of day and are able to time and pace yourself perfectly with any chronological landmarks (sunrise/noon/sunset/midnight/etc). The same goes with the season, knowing almost exactly how many days until or since autumn/winter/spring/summer starts.

Skill 2 -
Precognition: You have a general feeling for events in the future, and are able to gauge likelihood and probabilities with preternatural accuracy. (Example: The sense that you will meet someone new today, the feeling that water will be important today, etc. Very general, nonspecific ideas.)

Skill 3 -
Flash-forward, Flash-back: You are able to reverse or fastforward the effects of time on simple things. (Examples: un-growing a flower, un-eroding a rock, and vice versa).

Skill 4 -
Flash-forward, Flash-back II: You are able to reverse or fastforward the effects of time in a more substantial way. (Examples: reversing the onset of an infection, slowing down a mouse as it runs, increase your own pace, accelerate the growth of a plant.)

Lythimel is a very analytical type of cat. He have always seen the logical side of things, not wanting to fuss too much about the details of others personal feelings. However the little details of how things worked and functioned made him very curious, it fascinated him. He loved to pick apart how and why things happened, whether it was a log or a social group. He’d often go exploring to find something interesting, and he’d often drag a sibling or two along. While he wandered along with his family as well, he’d find something that interested him, and would take it back to the den they’d use for the night, and take it apart. In the tom’s eyes, the world was filled with interesting things for him to find.

As Lythimel was a kit, he began to see/explore quite a lot. He was constantly traveling with his family, so he got to see a lot more than most kits his age did. They crossed streams, ran through hills, and gazed out at the stars. This made him grow up to be quite well-rounded, as the world humbled him by the sights he saw. This partially fed into his interest in the world around him, having him be exposed to a great big world he would’ve missed early on stuck in a den.

He is also quite known for being quite innovative in that sense. He knows how to take apart processes to stick them back together, so therefore he is good at solving problems. He would often do things such as make small “rafts” (a couple pieces of wood) to help he and his brother cross a river, or use a stick to scare a bird out of a tree. He was always looking to make things more efficient, and most of the time, he seems to find a way.

His experiences wandering also taught him quite a bit about how other cats live, especially in ways that were different than his. Out there, you could never know who you could meet, or what they could want. To deal with this, he had to learn to be businesslike. Be polite, staying on subject, not getting too personal, all of these things he had to learn. He keeps a straight face from the minute he meets a cat until well into their friendship. Though he may trust them, it takes awhile to fully break the ice with him, and get to the truer side to his personality. He can harness his business-like self to an extent, but there is still a few issues.

Lythimel upholds the same high-spirit he had when he was a kit up to this day. He remains quite optimistic, trying to look on the bright side of things. He always believes there is a solution to all his problems, one he has to find out. It helps him in a casual conversation from seeming too blank and analytical, by showing a warmer, more welcoming smile to him. However, when something goes wrong, he can go into a quite different mode.

The tom strictly believes that every problem can be fixed. He can point out any problem and suggest how to fix it. However, it is not always welcome. He is known for being very critical of others, going in “ruthlessly” and going step-by-step on how to fix it. He is straightforward in telling you what is wrong, but he often takes it a bit too far for most cat’s likings. It doesn’t mean he rambles on about it, but he just very effective at getting to his point in a few sentences. He doesn’t seem to understand some other’s mistakes, and tries to help them achieve “perfection”, whether it is welcome or not.

Through he isn’t very good at picking up other’s feelings, he is quite talkative to others, whether it be in a good way or not as well. You pique his interest in any way, he will talk your ear off. His favorite thing to talk about is how something works to meet an end result. You mention even a relatively close thing to the subject, and he will end up rambling for hours on end about how salt helps store meat. Needless, this is not very efficient when cats are in a hurry, neither is it when he begins to criticize.

As mentioned before, Lythimel has a no-tolerance policy for mistakes. He wants everyone to have perfection, and is willing to help them achieve it. When someone doesn’t have that perfection, he of course, goes and helps them. But when his help is not accepted, he gets madder, letting his true prim-like self show. He won’t tolerate those incapable of his help, so eventually he ends up leaving them for dust if he doesn’t deem them fit.

History:

WARNING: Mentions of Dysphoria are included in his history!

A Stormy Day:

The clouds hung dark overhead, the stench of rain heavy in the air, seemingly almost as heavy as the clouds looked. Petunia glanced out worriedly as a roll of thunder sounded overhead. Lichen was still outside, and the den was quite shallow. The flashes of lighting glinted in the den and off her eyes as she stared up and out of the den. Finally, a mewl shook her from her thoughts. One of her four kits had lost its way, though they were only a mouse-length away. She carefully picked them up and dragged them back to her belly where her other kits were.
As she did that, a shadow covered the den’s entrance. She curled her tail around her kits as she looked up, and Lichen came in. “You had me scared to death!” Petunia exclaimed. Lichen dropped a squirrel, “I was scrambling to get the last pickings. Come on, lets get farther in the den.” Petunia scooted to the back of the den, and Lichen pushed the kits along with her, curling up around them all when he was done. “We still haven’t named them yet, ya know?” The tom nodded, looking down, “Better now than never, huh?”
She nodded in reply, looking down at the kits. “You start.” Lichen motioned to the orange and white tom-kit. “His stripes are very curved, like ripples in a pond. I think Ripple would be nice. And that one -” he motioned to white she-kit with gray spots, “I think Fallow would be nice for her.” Petunia nodded in agreement to both of them. She stopped for a moment to look at the rain begin to fall heavy outside, before switching her focus back. Flicking her tail at the dark gray tom with a large white spot, “I think Mockingjay is nice for him, the white spot on his side looks quite like a feather to me.” Lichen nodded, eyes widening. “Ya!” Petunia’s gaze fell upon the last kit, who was asleep on their back. “Her underbelly almost looks back!” Lichen exclaimed. “Pebble for her. She sure looks like one!” They nodded together, “Just one more moon and then we can carry them around.” As Pebble yawned, and the rain came down harder than before. They hadn’t noticed though, they were already fast asleep.

Heavy Flooding:
The sound loud giggling and leaves crinkling filled the den. Fallow howled and leapt over her siblings as she slammed into Ripple, who was taunting her with a leaf that had fallen in the den. “Give it back!” She exclaimed. As she toppled him over, he dropped the leaf, leaving it free for Pebble to grab and run off with. “Hey!” Mockingjay yelled, running after her. Pebble went to stick her tongue out, but the leaf ended up falling out. Before any of the other kits could get it, Petunia picked it up. “Come on kits, time to go!” “Aww!” Pebble whined, “I had it!” “You can get another one later, come on.” Petunia picked up Ripple and Mockingjay, while Lichen mumbled to her, “Quite rambunctious for a she-kit.” Before picking up Pebble and Fallow. Something about that made Pebble’s skin crawl, she didn’t know why though.
Despite this, the family began their journey to their next den. The kits were 4 moons old now, and it was the middle of the flooding season as the snow melted. This meant many big rivers for the two of them to cross, which was even harder with four kits. As they trekked on, they had seen a few small trickles, but none like the one they came upon. The water swept by fast, and it was a good 4-5 fox-lengths across. They turned to each other, then back to the widened river. It was too big and fast to swim across, and there wasn’t any other way to cross than 7 large stones sticking out of the river. They had crossed many rivers like this before, so they assumed they could cross it. They were wrong.
Petunia had hopped to the middle of the river, and was on the 4th stone. Lichen trailed close behind, on the 2nd one. Lichen nodded at her to go on, and she turned back around to do so. She stuck out her paw to judge the distance when Ripple suddenly jerked, causing her to fall. Mockingjay fell onto the rock, landing on his left paw. Ripple hit the side of the rock and fell into the water, and Petunia fell right beside him. She quickly grabbed him and tried to pull them to safety, but her claws slid off the rock. Mockingjay yowled as he watched his mom and brother being dragged off by the current. Lichen jumped carefully from rock to rock, picking up Mockingjay and laying the other three kits on the other side. “Stay there!” He yelped, and ran down the river.
He returned after what seemed like a moon, all sweaty and crying. “She-she’s gone…” His voice trailed off. “What?!” Pebble couldn’t believe it. None of them could. “Don’t worry-“ Lichen said softly as he curled around them, trying not to show his tears. “I’ve got you now. It won’t happen again. Never.”

A Close Encounter:
Ever since Petunia had passed, the family had all been a bit sad and distant from each other. You could feel their presence missing. Mockingjay had broken his paw from the fall on the rock, and now was limping on that paw. You could see the big scar it left on his wrist, which was healing better, the bruise had just faded. The 3 kits were left in the den alone while Lichen had went to go and hunt. The silence hung like a heavy cloud over them, and no one said a word the entire time.
"Come on guys!” Mockingjay said finally, “Would Ripple let us sit around like this?” Fallow laid her head down on her paws, “Come on Mockingjay, he’s gone. It doesn’t matter now.” Mockingjay looked down at her sadly, “I don’t like it moping around, lets at least do something.” Pebble stood up, “Fineee. I don’t like sitting around either. What are you thinking of doing that is a better use of my time?” Mockingjay shook his head playfully, “You can’t surprise me with what you’re going to say anymore. Lets play mossball!” Fallow’s head shot up. “Come on, if nothing I say surprises you, shouldn’t you know that I don’t like mossball?” Pebble complained. “We should play stick!” Pebble picked up a stick he had in the back of the den. “Come on Pebble, its the same thing as mossball except with a stick. You didn’t make it up!” Pebble opened her mouth to reply right as they all noticed a slithering figure come into a den. The light glinted off its scales. A Snake.
Fallow squealed, getting to the back of the den, next to Mockingjay. Pebble was left in front of the two of them, holding out a small stick. They slowly inched back as the snake got closer and closer, eventually rising up to hiss at them. Pebble could barely look, she just stood there terrified, shaking out of control with the stick still pointed of her mouth. As she heard both her siblings yell, she opened her eyes again to see Lichen holding the dead snake in his jaws. Pebble dropped to the ground, “Oh my…” Lichen dropped it slowly. "You’re the bravest molly I’ve seen in awhile.” Pebble had been laying there, shaking, when suddenly she stood up and fluffed her fur.  She thought wildly to herself as she searched for the reason that’d made her mad. A thought came into her head, Im a tom-; The sudden realization hit her. She stopped looking down at the floor as her family watched, and she continued to shake.

A Bittersweet Farewell:
Today was the day. It had been coming for a long time now, and all four of them knew it. The three siblings were 12 moons old, which means they got to where to move their separate ways. Pebble, Mockingjay, and Fallow laid huddled up together, silently mourning each other’s upcoming loss. Lichen turned to them, “Come on, its inevitable. I’ll miss you all too.” There was a glimpse of remorse in his eyes, but it was hidden by a flicker of impatience. They all sat up, glancing at each other sadly. They knew it had to be done, but none of them wanted to leave.
Needless Fallow stood up first, walking over to their father, and turned to them. “I’m going to stay and help dad. He deserves it after all he’s done for us.” Mockingjay nodded in agreement, and stood up, and went to stand near the entrance. “I will leave for some other place, to wander where I please.” They all dipped their head at him, again in acknowledgement. Pebble went to stand up, only before Mockingjay cut her off, “Pebble, I have something to ask you.” They all turned to him, “Will you come with me? I honestly don’t know what I’d do without you, and any of us being out alone scares me.” Pebble looked shocked, her eyes widening. She looked down, shifting her paws. “Please?” He begged. Pebble smiled weakly, looking up at him. “Of course.” She grudgingly went to stand over with him, dragging her paws as she walked.
"Well, this is it.” Fallow said finally, “Goodbye you guys.” They all went to greet each other for the last time. “I’ll miss you two.” Pebble said to them. Lichen rubbed cheeks with Pebble, “You are a great -“ “Son.” Pebble cut Lichen off as Fallow and Mockingjay looked on. “Son.” Lichen sighed, looking at Pebble in the eyes. “You were a great son. Good luck out there.” Pebble nodded at them, and went to meet his brother. The three of them stared at Pebble, but Pebble felt as if a great weight was lifted off his chest. “Goodbye." Mockingjay said finally, and the two toms left without another word.

Saved By The Enemy:
Mockingjay and Pebble had been out for a few moons now. They were pretty empty moons. They’d caught a couple things today, since luckily prey was starting to come back from the cold season. They’d been hiding out the past moon or two, it was very cold this particular season. They’d recently been running around, hiding in whatever den they could find for a night or two. They had taken shelter in a recently abandoned badger den, which they had assumed had moved on from this place. As the weather warmed, competition for the emerging prey grew intense.
They sat in the den, munching on a large squirrel Pebble had caught. Pebble turned to his brother, “You checked to make sure they weren’t coming back here right? We don’t want another run-in.” Mockingjay nodded as he took a bite, “Don’t worry, I got it. They won’t come back.” Pebble nodded back, and took a bite, swallowing. Suddenly, he was given a sharp gab by his brother. He went to yell at him, but as he looked up, he became aware of the badger at the entrance. “You bite your tongue, Mockingjay.” Pebble retorted, standing up along with his brother, fur fluffing up, and hissing.
As soon as they were about to attack, a fox leapt up on the badger. It quickly turned and reared up at it. the two of them took the advantage of the time, and sprinted out of there. Pebble looked back to see the fox and the badger fighting over the squirrel, even tough it was mostly torn up. “You mouse-brain!” Pebble screamed at Mockingjay, “I didn’t know!” He yelled back, “We can get another squirrel later!” Pebble shook his head and snorted,”I would’ve noticed!” He retorted, but Mockingjay did not reply, they just kept running through the green.

Those Stupid Tribes:
Mockingjay and Pebble had wandered together for what seemed like 15,000 moons. They’d seen mountains, rivers, valleys, and other animals galore. They had finally settled near a little alcove, away from most of the trouble of the world. A few cats roamed around the alcove as well, but the siblings tried and stayed away from them. They just got water and prey, and that was all they needed. They had run into a rouge one day, and they talked to them for a little bit. They explained to the toms fantastical tales of “tribes”, big groups of cats who had unbelievable powers and were fighting against a group called “The Enlightened.” They thought it to be fiction until one day, when they came to their home.
The tribes had settled into the exile lands, because they had supposedly been driven out by the other group of cats. Pebble was enraptured by their strange powers and social order, while Mockingjay had told him to stay back, and that they didn’t know what they were capable of. Despite this, Pebble’s curiosity always seemed to get the better of him, and he went quite a few times to see what they did, while hiding in the bushes. He watched in awe as they practiced their powers, watching their “tattoos” light up. He even managed to talk to one of them for a few minutes before they had to leave. It didn’t matter what Mockingjay or the back of Pebble’s conscience said, his curiosity got the better of him.
“You can’t do this!” Mockingjay cried, “They’re just a bunch of random cats, you don’t know what they’d do to you!” Pebble looked at him with remorse, “I’ve learned about them, seen them, even talked to one of them. I’ll be safe, don’t worry.” Mockingjay lashed his tail, “After all we’ve been through, after all I’ve done for you, this is the thanks I get?! You running off with a bunch of super-powered freaks?!” Mockingjay screeched, “Those stupid tribes, I just want MY BROTHER back!”
Mockingjay began to cry, hot tears running down his cheeks. Pebble immediately ran to him, leaning up against him, and began to cry as well. “I-I’m sorry,” His voice broke, “I don’t want to do this. But this is my destiny, I have found it, and I must follow it. I know we’d have to part someday, and I’m sorry it has to be now.” They looked into each other’s eyes one last time. “Goodbye, brother. We’ll meet again someday.” As Pebble turned away and followed the river to the nearest tribe, he knew he could never go back again."

Ripple - My brother also passed far too soon. I hope he was laid to rest with the respect my mother was, and that his life he has now gives him peace.
Fallow - I never was as close to her as I was my brother, but she is a very good and strong cat, stronger than me. When she left with our father I felt a pang of sorrow, she deserved to roam free. I hope to see her again along with him.
Mockingjay - My brother, and the closest friend I’ve ever had. I feel as if he was the only one who understood me. He didn’t have my logic, but he wasn’t as crazy as me to join. One day I’ll convince him to join me. Until then, our paths diverge.

Roleplay Example:

(Taken from a rp starter I did for The-Blue-Tides!)

Vulturetooth stalked stealthily along the moor, laying close to the ground. He inched forward slowly, claws unsheathed, gripping into the dirt. The wind whipped up from behind him, ruffling his fur and the long stalks of grass as he slowly and quietly climbed up the hill.
Thats when he locked eyes with it. His prey. The hare hadn't noticed he was coming until it was too late. He bolted straight at it, lunging for its throat. As he made that attempt, it tried to run away, frantically kicking up its back legs. The tom was bat in the face and out of sheer quick thinking and anger, bit down hard on the hare, causing it to fall. The hare looked panicked, but it seemed to accept his fate as he sunk his teeth in deep, killing it.
At that time the tom stepped back, admiring his kill. He bowed his head in a quick moment as a prayer to StarClan, before looking back up. He sniffed the air for a sign of a nest, but there was nothing. He then treaded, looking for a soft spot of earth to bury his kill. It was the first one he'd caught today, and he needed to look for more.
As he went to walk, his paw touched a patch of springy grass, perfect to hide the hare. He began digging, stopping only for a moment to inch his prey closer to him. He fluffed up his fur as the wind switched, blowing towards him. He twitched his whiskers angrily and began to quicken his pace, digging out a couple more pawfuls of soil before stopping to rest.
He looked up boredly, hoping no rabbits caught his scent. He was near the outer reaches of WindClan's territory, close to ShadowClan. Though he was still good enough away from the border, he didn't want to meet anyone. Just as he thought that a black shape caught his eye.
Unable to tell what it was, he quickly buried the rest of his hare, kicking dirt over it using his hind legs. He crouched down again and went off to the side of it, where he wouldn't be scented. He couldn't tell if it was a cat or a hawk, so he stayed low, watching it from fox-lengths away, hoping it wouldn't come closer.
If it even tries to mess with me, it'll find out what WindClan can do... he thought angrily yet worriedly to himself, I'll get 'em as I did that hare!

Fun Facts/Trivia:

  • Lythimel never really liked the name Pebble, but he still has a hard time responding to his new name.
  • He hasn’t had any "true friends"/talked with much of anyone else but his brother, Mockingjay.
  • Lythimel wanted to be a Scholar, but he thinks he'll fine being a Soldier, he likes to use what he knows to use in-field
